This, although a fictional novel, is broadly based onthe factual experiences of its author. FEPOW - Far East Prisoners of War - is a story telling of the deprivation of thousands of mulit-national prisoners of war being transported in unbelievably cramped and impoverished situations aboard ships by the Japanese. Mostly the prisoners were only equipped for the tropics, from the equator to the winter of Japan. Needless to say many hundreds did not survive these appauling situations - and this book is a dedication to those souls.
