W. P. (Bill) Kinsella of Canada was a writer famous for his classic baseball novels and perennial sellers "The Iowa Baseball Confederacy" and "Shoeless Joe," which became the film "Field of Dreams" starring Kevin Costner. Kinsella also wrote about a dozen other novels and collections of short stories on two subjects: baseball and Indian life.
