Isla Perry had already told herself a story of what jury duty would be like before she took her seat in the court room. She would do the right thing. She would be on the side of justice. And she would go home when it was all said and done to return to her normal life.
She never expected to have to bear witness to the gritty details of the high-profile homicide of the defendants wife.
Milo Ford. Murderer. Wife killer. Evil.
Or is he?
Isla finds herself outnumbered. The jury thinks Milo is guilty, but Isla? Shes not so sure. The case is circumstantial. Shes drowning in her own reasonable doubt. And after a month-long trial, she folds, agreeing to cast her vote as guilty.
It eats away at her.
Did she send an innocent man to prison?
When her guilt becomes compounded by the death of a beloved aunt, she vows to do the right thing and help Milo Ford, even if it feels like the whole world is against her.
And so is Ford himself.
Genre: Mystery
