It is 1882, the buffalo and beaver are long gone, and the aging mountain men find a new source of income. As the best scouts in the Yellowstone Valley and Levi a top-notch sharpshooter, they quickly find work as scouts, which takes them far and wide. They find themselves in more demand than ever.

Colonel Jackob Jackson hears the frontiersmen are in Denver, Colorado and locates the scouts who will assist the cavalry on a hush-hush mission. A secret society plans to take over San Antonio, Texas, killing the governor in the process. The government accuses the organizers of treason.

The ammunition dump in Fort Sam Houston is robbed, and the cavalry is sent to find the weapons and ammunition and halt the overthrow of the government and the creation of a new independent state. The traitors hide somewhere in the Texas Hill Country. Levi Johnson and Captain Forrester sign on with the United States Cavalry to track them down, knowing the future of America is at stake. They had just been through one civil war and had to stop a second conflict at all costs.
