As retired Texas Ranger Captain Creek rides the trail from Deadwood to Wyoming, he finds himself on a path in search of the famous Cheyenne woman war chief Pretty Nose for a possible romance. Following the Plains Indians and the diminishing number of buffalo, the captain is repeatedly attacked by braves from a number of Indian Tribes as he rides deeper into Wyoming, eventually heading north to locate the big Cheyenne village in northwestern Montana. Is Texas Ranger Captain Creek turned mountain man on his path to destruction and eventually his own apocalypse? Or will he finally find peace with the Northern Tribes of the Plains Indians?
