Hunting

Although I'm a horror writer, sometimes I come up with ideas that don't really fit into that genre. Oftentimes, I'll hide them in a novel, since a book-length work is able to absorb these off-subject digressions without any adverse effects. Every once in a while, however, something like “Hunting” will come to me fully formed, as its own self-contained entity, and I'll turn it into a short story.
