A map to her heart...

Harper Ross, a brilliant yet socially awkward geologist, finds herself banished to the remote Orkney Islands after an incident at work. While hiking along the rugged coastline, she stumbles upon an elderly woman out for a stroll, unable to find her glasses. Harper helps the peculiar woman, who leaves her with a cryptic warning before disappearing.

On her way back to the B&B, Harper discovers a weathered leather map case hidden among the rocks. Curiosity gets the better of her, and as she traces the coastline of the ancient map with her fingertips, a sudden flash of lightning sends her tumbling through time, straight to 1743 Scotland. A land filled with danger, intrigue, and rebellion.

There, she collides with Brodie MacGregor, a roguish and charming Jacobite spy mapping the coast for Bonnie Prince Charlie’s doomed uprising. Mistaken for a British informant, Harper is forced to join Brodie on his perilous mission. Her modern knowledge of geology proves invaluable, but as they navigate treacherous cliffs, hidden coves, and the growing tension between them, she realizes she is falling for a man whose fate is already sealed. A man whose maps will lead to the bloodshed of Culloden.

Torn between her growing feelings for Brodie and the knowledge of the tragedy to come, Harper faces an impossible choice. Should she stay and risk everything to try and rewrite history, or return to her own time and leave the man she loves to his fate? As the lines between loyalty and love blur, Harper wonders… can she change the course of history without losing herself and Brodie forever?
