Away Away From Botany Bay

1791. Three years after being transported to Botany Bay for stealing shirts and jewellery, Jimmy Ashton, Mary Broad, her two small children, husband and several other desperate convicts steal a boat and escape from Australia's first convict colony. They set off on a long voyage north to find freedom. After many adventures fighting warlike Aborigines and storms at sea they succeed in crossing the shark-infested Timor Sea to arrive safely in Batavia (Indonesia). But there someone betrays them to the authorities. Will they now rot in a dark Batavian prison or be sent back to Botany Bay? Will they ever return to England?Based on a true story, D.
