Mary Norton: Soldier Girl

King Charles is fighting Cromwell as the Civil War rages in England. Mary Norton runs away from home to escape her abusive father. Uneducated and unwilling to become a servant or whore, she joins the king's army disguised as a man. Working hard not to expose her secret, Mary becomes a musketeer.
