Adventure has always been the name of the game for Ellen Lindseth. After learning she couldn’t be a U.S. Navy SEAL (being vertically challenged and female), she settled on being an archaeologist, where she could travel the world, immerse herself in other cultures, and (hopefully!) unearth hidden treasures.

With that in mind, she received her undergraduate degree in Classics, but then life changed course again. Blessed with an equally adventurous husband, and two wonderful children, she decided a better avenue for her dreams would be through writing.  She immersed herself in history, particularly World War II, and began to spin tales of strong, spirited women, ready to embark on adventures of their own.

She studied at the Loft Literary Center (Minneapolis, MN), and is a member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association and Romance Writers of America (RWA). Two of her WWII historical romances were finalists in the prestigious RWA® Golden Heart ® contest, and one of her short stories was chosen for publication in Midwest Fiction Writers’ popular anthology. When not writing about the resourceful women of the 1940s, she keeps up her own dream of adventure by flying her own plane, traveling the world with her husband (also a pilot), and constantly pushing the envelope of her knowledge.
