Jennifer Lindsay is a little like the heroine of The Lady Solider, Jem Riseley, in that she's bold, risk-taking and unconventional. And like Jem Riseley, who dresses herself as a man so that she can join the British Army and become a soldier, Jennifer Lindsay is a disguise - the pen name of two authors working in collaboration - Kate Allan and Michelle Styles.
