(2022)
A novel by

Aurora - Her mother handed her a newspaper. The Matrimonial Times. Aurora stare blankly at it, her heart sinking further. She’d dreamed of one day having her own family, but she hadn’t thought it would happen like this. Her father’s business had failed…..they were going to lose the house…..the house she had grown up in.
The only solution…..Find a man that would pay off her parents’ debt, and travel to the west as a mail-order bride.
But, she thought the man would be her husband…….

Chance - Ah, how he hated the town.
It reminded him of everything he wanted to forget. The entire Brownsville seemed to be taunting him with memories of her. Rosanna, who had broken up their engagement to marry Hugh, the wealthiest man in town.
Chance wasn’t going down that road again. That was for sure!!

So when his uncle shows up with a woman who he said was to be Chance’s bride he didn’t know what to say or what to do.
It didn’t take long for Aurora to win over the ranch hands with her phenomenal cooking…..and then Chance with her sweet ways.
But when Chance catches Aurora and his Uncle talking, and his Uncle accuses her of being a partner in the deception, Chance panics and sends her away.

Where will Aurora go? She certainly will not accept money from Chance….that would justify his accusation. All her well laid plans had blown up. If only she had been honest with Chance when they got married.
Chance can’t believe that he fell for two women cut from the same cloth. The house was emptier now than it had been before Aurora, he was sure. So when he found her letters, he couldn’t believe it. How could he make such a mistake and believe the same man who was trying to steal from him….his Uncle.
As he races to town to find Aurora, all the scenarios rush through his mind. Can he find her? Will she take him back?
