Join the Smith Family in Summer Creek, as the final bride makes her way there.

In the bustling streets of Charleston, West Virginia, eighteen-year-old Eleanor Phillips faces a bleak future. With her family in financial distress, her father and brothers propose a loveless marriage to a wealthy family friend's son. Unwilling to accept this fate, Eleanor finds solace in her mother’s unconventional suggestion: becoming a mail-order bride. Replying to an ad in the Matrimonial Times, she is soon engaged to a young man from Summer Creek, Texas.

Luke Smith, the youngest of six brothers, is in a tumultuous relationship with a local girl, much to his mother's dismay. Unbeknownst to Luke, his mother, Marjorie, secretly places an ad in the Matrimonial Times, seeking a suitable bride for him. When Eleanor arrives, Luke is shocked and upset, revealing he had no part in inviting her.

Days later, Luke’s world shatters when his girlfriend leaves town with a travelling merchant. Heartbroken and lost, Luke finds unexpected comfort in Eleanor's presence. Slowly, he begins to see her in a new light, appreciating her kindness and resilience.

As Eleanor endeavours to forgive the deception that started her journey, the young couple find common ground.

Together, they embark on a journey of love and happiness, discovering that sometimes, the most unexpected paths lead to the most beautiful destinations.
