Lorna Landvik recommends
After Francesco (2021)
Brian Malloy
"With characters who are flawed and funny, courageous and fearful, Brian Malloy tells a story that could serve as a guidebook on how to love, how to fight for those we love, and how to honor those we've lost without losing ourselves. Beautifully written and infused with a sly humor, After Francesco is a love letter to life."
Sorry I Missed You (2020)
Suzy Krause
"Sorry I Missed You is a ghost story, a mystery and a comedy featuring three mismatched roommates and their feckless landlord who ultimately learn from one another how their own fears have held them back far more than imagined ones. It’s a fun and breezy read."
Behaving Like Adults (2018)
Gretchen Anthony
"Meddling matriarch Violet Baumgartner doesn't intend to create drama; she just wants everyone to behave the way they should, which is her way. In writing about this endearing, engaging (and at times, exasperating) family, Gretchen Anthony has created an E-ticket ride of a novel, full of twists and turns, and laughs that don't let up. Whee!"
