Cowboy Justified

I’d been wronged, and fate laughed.

I always thought Jessie was my soulmate.
I’d dreamt about her countless times.
Saw us living out our lives together.
But she fell in love with my best friend.
Devastated, I somehow managed to move on.

A tragedy calls on me to do the right thing.
I’m reluctant to comply.
It will reunite me with Jessie.
