When a school bus full of American children goes missing in the Dominican Republic, the tragedy causes a tremendous stir. Add the suspicions of one of Ethan's old flames that this is the work of a local drug cartel looking to gain leverage on the United States, and that's all that's needed for Marston, Holm, and MBLIS Miami to get involved.
But things get complicated fast, especially when there are hints that a far more twisted hand is behind the disappearance. Is this terrible kidnapping merely the work of base criminals or just the preamble to a far more sinister crime? Either way, if Ethan can't unravel the tangled clues in time, it won't just be his life on the line, but the lives of dozens of innocent kids.
