October 1941, the World is at war.
Following the major Axis offensive in French North Africa, General Erich von Manstein is close to victory, but American general George Patton leads a counteroffensive to try and save the day. Fighting continues to rage across the Atlas Mountains and in the Ceuta-Tangier Axis.
In the Eastern Mediterranean, things are settling down into a stalemate as the Allies have retreated into the Sudan, and General Guderian is not pursuing them. The twin defeats in El Alamein and the Suez Canal have sealed the fate of the Allies in the theater. Now, there lies an uncertain chain of events, as the Germano-Soviets need to decide if they want to attack through the center of Africa.
In the Far East, the defense of the Japanese Home Islands begins, with the Axis forces poised to try a landing from Sakhalin to Hokkaido, only twenty-four miles away. In the same vein, the battle for the Korean Peninsula enters into a new phase that looks much like an older one. The Red Army has been pushed back to its starting Yalu-Tumen Line, but Zhukov has no intention of letting things be. His humongous numerical superiority will again challenge the Allied general duo of Yamashita-MacArthur as he plans yet another offensive to finish off the Allies.
Not content with what they have conquered so far, the Axis forces are now looking for new territories to grab. The Germano-Soviets are planning an attack on Scandinavia. For Stalin, the idea is to reclaim Finland, once a part of the Russian Empire. For Hitler, the objective is to claim Norway and Denmark, essential positions from which he could ultimately attack and conquer the British Islands.
And in between it all are the men fighting the battles, while trying to survive. 21st German Infantry Division Private Marco Peters is fighting in the Atlas Mountains, British Ace Giles Hayes is dueling with German ace Gunther Rall, Anatoli Batasov, a poor infantryman trying to survive on Paektu Mountain, or else German U-boat U-511 attacking Japanese shipping in the Pacific from its secret base in the Caroline Islands.
The fight is far from over; the Allies are truly reeling back under the Axis’ relentless assaults. Will they rise to the challenge or be swamped by the Germano-Soviet hordes?
