The year is 1939.

(Part 1: Chronicles from September 1939 to summer 1940)

Tank commander Erich Walder is about to embark on a very long war that will have him fight all across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The Third Reich has just declared war on Poland, igniting the Second World War, with the UK and France following suit to help the Poles.

Erich Walder was one of the main characters in the 12-book series Blitzkrieg Alternate. Book 13 is the book about his story in more detail. More Guderian memoirs, more tank battles, and more Skorzeny adventures. The story is woven into book 1, Blitzkrieg Europa, and will help enrich the story even more. Some of the writings from book 1 are in this new account, so it will be the same story but seen from a different angle.

Follow the tank commander’s adventures as he leads his men in Poland, France, French North Africa, and Middle East campaigns. The Walder chronicles is the story of a simple soldier trying to survive and win for the Wehrmacht.

This is the story of the Second World War.
