The Mystery of the Vanishing Lady

Jack and Chip Power, aged 17 and 15, with their Dalmatian, Blaze, live with their photojournalist father Thomas. Jack and Chip travel with Mr. Power, and get involved in various adventures in which they act as detectives, track down criminals, and end up in various dangerous situations. In this, their sixth and final adventure, Jack and Chip are elated to be finally settling down in a permanent home in a New York City apartment. Needless to say, before they have even completely unpacked, the boys are involved in another mystery when Jack Power is accused of stealing a valuable diamond ring from a new acquaintance.
