The first half of this volume describes the links between the earliest Irish rebellions orchestrated by Celtic nobles and more political attempts at emancipation during the 18th and 19th centuries. The second half of the book includes details of the Easter Rising and the Civil War, the fight for workers' rights and the war in Northern Ireland.
