Aliens are coming to ravage Earth. What they'll get is a taste of iron.

Whenever the Lesser Race called humanity dares to build its cities too large, an alien apocalypse descends from the skies. Mired in a permanent Dark Age, Earth is littered with the bones of stillborn empires. Only nomadic cultures thrive. The Scythians are among the strongest of these. Unaware of the threat beyond their skies, they have built a capital.

Arixa, daughter of the Scythian king and captain of a war band called the Dawn, ranges the steppe in defense of her homeland. But when a fateful encounter leaves her with knowledge that an alien race called the Jir will soon devastate the Scythian capital, there is no question of whether to defend it. She must. The only question is how, when Earth's most advanced weapons are blades of iron.

But Arixa's will is also iron. The men and women who follow her are unafraid and eager to take alien heads. And allies might be made who know something of alien weaponry. Scythia will not fade quietly into the mists of oblivion. Sentients on far-flung worlds will know the name Arixa.

The Dark Age must end. A new Dawn will rise.

Scythian Dawn is unlike most space adventure series you've read. You won't find any "Johnny Rocketjock" characters out to win medals and impress the spunky princess (or the nerdy engineer). The Dawn takes what it wants and kills those who stand in its way. As the Fremen swept forth from humble desert origins to rule a universe, so does a galactic revolt begin on the steppes of Earth. The thunder of hooves will shake the stars. Saddle up!
