Borrowed Tides

The first interstellar trip to Alpha Centauri, planned by Aaron Schoenfield, will take many years. Looking for a way to make the journey in less time, Aaron turns to old friend Jack Lumet, an anthropologist familiar with an old Iroquois legend about Wise Oak, who claimed to have ridden a cosmic version of the Hudson River that flows to the stars and back.
