A Wyoming homesteader family settles in a little valley only to find that a big cattleman hates all "nesters." The cattle baron hires a shooter to kill one of the homesteaders as a way to threatening all the others. A stranger named Dutch comes into the valley and accepts an invitation to supper. He stays even though the family can't pay him. He helps them fence their property and fight off the cattle baron, who believes might makes right. Dutch warns him off, but the cattle baron's hatred runs deep. Finally, Dutch has had enough and fulfills his promise to eliminate the threat to the homesteaders. This is another classic western from the pen of R. O. Lane.
