Red, White and Blue

In an attempt to unravel the truth about himself and his family, eleven-year-old Wain [short for Gawain] writes down three different versions of events, using different colour paper. White is the official version, for his English homework. Red is to an imaginary penfriend and is the real truth. Blue is Wain's fantasy story the version he would like it to be. But when you start writing you sometimes reveal more than you intended and you see things differently. Wain makes the difficult transition to secondary school and comes to terms with the truth about his family.
