Rennie was a mining engineer, working at a diamond mine in South Africa -and very competent she was at her job, too; but of course she came upagainst a lot of opposition and prejudice on account of her sex, and thelatest critic in a long line was the annoying Todd Dillman. He had nopossible grounds for complaining about her work but he lost no opportunityof criticising her lack of femininity! Was she really so unfeminine?
