Stephanie writes historical fiction because she loves adventure in far-off times and places. In real life, shes backpacked through Germany and Eastern Europe, studied in Salzburg, enjoyed gelato in Italy, rode a camel in Morocco, and floated in the salty Corinthian Sea. Her favorite cities are Rome, Berlin and Budapest. Her travels kindle her imagination, fuel her love of history and foreign culture, and introduce her to one-of-a-kind characters.
Stephanie is equally happy at home in Minnesota with her husband of 22 years, four children, three fat cats, and a tortoise named Moe. When shes not writing, shes feeding the ravenous horde, volunteering at church and school, battling dandelions, and dreaming about her next adventure - whether it be in person or on the page.

Within These Walls of Sorrow (2023)
Amanda Barratt
"There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for a friend, and Amanda Barratt's heartrending novel shows this truth in stark and powerful reality. Amid the Nazi terrors of war-torn Krakow, the love of family and the bonds of friendship withstand the ultimate test of faith and courage to emerge victorious. Within These Walls of Sorrow is an emotional journey that acknowledges both the horror of war and the resilience of the human spirit."
The Unknown Beloved (2022)
Amy Harmon
"The Unknown Beloved has all the thrills of a murder mystery deftly woven with history and a heart-melting romance. As tough as true crime, as tender as a first kiss, it's storytelling magic."
