The real pirates of the Caribbean aren’t on the big screen. They’re on the high seas and penetrating marinas in Florida, looking for boats and yachts to steal. When they take Gypsy, a trawler, they picked the wrong boat. Gypsy is owned by an elderly couple who are close friends with Sean O’Brien.
Beyond the twelve-mile-limit, the Coast Guard doesn’t chase stolen vessels.
GPS indicates the boat appears to be enroute to the Bahamas. When O’Brien tries to track down Gypsy, he becomes a moving target in the lawless land of islands where corruption rises like a dark tide all around him as he enters a dangerous world of international boat thefts and smuggling.
And on the high seas, there is no one to call for back up.
