There’s more than money in those monsters.
Gil Arrington was a thief by trade, specializing in digital security systems. Gil was always a loner, but the last few months were spent in a group, a group whose leader fouled up what should have been an easy job. Gil had nothing to lose, so, when it came time to fess up to their boss, he didn’t refrain from taking the blame. The result saw him in high debt with a crime lord. He only had two months to come up with a crazy number of credits with the stipulation that he couldn’t pull any jobs to make the money.
What was Gil to do? He’d been a thief ever since the authorities took him away from his mother, who was always too busy hunting Spawnmons to worry about her son. Oddly enough, the answer to his dilemma resided in the very reason he took to stealing in the first place. Spawnmon hunting.
Spawnmons were magical creatures who respawned nearby instead of dying, and his mother’s old cottage was full of hunting equipment. He didn’t find much, but a strange offer came his way when he went to sell the old equipment to a childhood friend. If Gil gathered enough of the orbs, then she would talk to the city planner to get the old cottage put in his name. Gil hated Spawnmon hunting with a passion, but, if he played his hand right, he could sell the cottage and clear his debt.
Gil’s life took an unexpected twist. He knew how to battle, and he was doing well, right until he encountered a rare Spawnmon. It wasn’t any ordinary Spawnmon though. It was inhabited by a gorgeous woman who had no recollection of how she wound up sharing a body with the creature in the first place. As the story unfolds, Gil discovers that she isn’t the only one, and suddenly Spawnmon hunting becomes far more interesting than stealing.
Spawnmons is a LitRPG story with many elements found in video games. Readers can expect a fun, compelling story, slice of life elements, magical creatures leveling, magic, abilities, strategy, turn-based combat, attractive monster girls, and some spicy scenes that are not appropriate for young readers.
