Allan Martin worked as a teacher, teacher-trainer and university lecturer, and only turned to writing fiction after He'd taken early retirement.
He's already completed a second Inspector Blue novel, The Dead of Jura, and the first in a detective series set in 1930s Estonia, The Fall. He's also translated from Estonian a ‘closed-room’ mystery originally published in 1937. He's had several short stories published, mostly in iScot magazine.
His first novel, The Peat Dead, is published by ThunderPoint Publishing. It’s a crime thriller, set mainly on the island of Islay, and is the first in a series featuring Inspector Angus Blue and forensic archaeologist Dr Alison Hendrickx.
