Coming back to PortCity was a decision, but one I made with a tentative optimism. Unfortunately, I'd forgotten how dark and unruly the inhabitants could be. How the city could eat you up and spit you back out. I didn't intend to find someone who would be able to make me forget all of that, but I certainly wasn't willing to let him go now that I had.

Watching from the shadows wasn't enough anymore. I wanted my girl front and center, in the flesh. So when she found herself in trouble, you're damn right I made sure I was there, and that I would be the only one she'd ever think to come running to.
♡ This novella takes place ten years prior to PortCity Killers. It ends on a HFN with an ambiguously optimistic ending. There are some continuity errors in PCK now that this book is out, which will be addressed at a later date in editing. You do not have to read the series to understand these characters; it stands alone as a work, but may enrich your PCK experience (especially if you liked Daddy Bryce). Please note the Author's note, and warnings which are available in the hyperlink on the first page, as well as several other spaces throughout my sites and socials. Previously published as [PortCity Sinners] [Episodes 1-11] on Kindle Vella.
