To escape her sinister ex-husband Phillip, Meg flees to rural Devon, taking their young daughter Katie with her. She meets her neighbour, the reclusive farmer and artist Garth Winter, and although neither want to admit it, their magnetism to each other is hard to ignore. When Phillip finds Meg, he is determined to involve himself in his daughter's life - by taking drastic measures. As threat from Phillip increases, Meg realises she needs Garth's help to keep Katie - and herself - safe.
