Carolyn McSparren has bred, raised, birthed, ridden, and driven horses to carriages most of her life. She's been a horse show mother, and is now struggling to learn to ride dressage. No more fences for her.
She's nurtured Siamese cats in France and Italy, and adopted puppies dropped off at the end of her driveway by people who should be ashamed of themselves.
She has published eleven Superromances. Animals are important in all of them. Three of her stories have been included in the Mossy Creek anthologies, and her latest book, All God's Creatures, is about five southern lady veterinarians.
She has won three Maggie Awards from the Georgia Romance Writers, was twice a finalist for the Romance Writers of America Rita Award, and in the Romantic Times's Best First Novel and Best Superromance categories.
Carolyn has served as president of the River City Romance Writers, the Memphis chapter of Romance Writers of America, and is the founder and first president of Malice in Memphis, the Memphis Chapter of Sisters in Crime, the national organization for women mystery writers.
Carolyn has lived in Germany, France, Italy, and "too many cities in the U. S. to count." She has a Master's Degree in English, taught composition, and has worked in public relations, advertising, and adult education.
She lives in the country outside of Memphis, Tennessee, in an old house with a foundling dog, four indoor and half a dozen barn cats, two horses and one husband
