You've heard of being locked out of the wilderness, but did you ever wonder what it would be like to be locked into the wilds?
Join writer and photographer Chinle Miller as she goes feral, exploring the deserts of Utah and the West, as well as points north into Montana, Canada, and Alaska, accompanied by several rescue dogs, an occasional cat or two, and various ravens and coyotes.
Come along and learn how Canada's most famous lake really got its name, what to do if caught in quicksand, whether or not ants have an aesthetic sense, how to scare bears, and how to foil Alaskan mosquitoes (but probably not Canadian ones), as well as how to have an adventure, should you be so inclined.
But don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to run away and go feral yourself, way out there in the Big Empty, wandering off the map.
Not all roads lead home, and for some, that's a good thing.
