Colleen McKeegan recommends
Our Kind of Game (2024)
Johanna Copeland
"If the brains behind Ginny & Georgia and The Feminine Mystique had a baby, she would look a whole lot like Johanna Copeland's Our Kind of Game. Copeland explores the many ways marriage, motherhood, and generational trauma shape women via a wild vigilante fantasy that will keep readers guessing until the incredible, jaw-dropping end."
Everyone Who Can Forgive Me is Dead (2024)
Jenny Hollander
"Jenny Hollander's debut novel plays with memory to deftly unpack the dangerous ways our minds trick when obsession and a lack of control collide. At once twisty and propulsive, Everyone Who Can Forgive Me Is Dead keeps readers guessing as the protagonist parties, falls in love, and establishes her journalism career in New York City until a mass tragedy upends it all-and, years later, the truth threatens to both ruin her life and set her free. If you loved Jessica Knoll's Luckiest Girl Alive and Andrea Bartz's The Lost Night, this book is for you!"
The Goddess Effect (2022)
Sheila Yasmin Marikar
"I finished The Goddess Effect in a single sitting. Sheila Yasmin Marikar's assured voice and incisive observations had me laughing out loud one moment and covering my mouth in shock the next. A stellar debut with the perfect number of twists, turns, and Lululemon references."
