A MANCHESTER CRIME THRILLER CHARGED WITH THE DARKEST OF FAMILY SECRETS AND A MAN WHO FINDS OUT WHAT HE WISHED HE DIDN'T KNOW.

It's been over thirty years since the body of Nigel Slater was found in south Manchester.
His murder has never been solved.
His best friend from childhood, Danny Holdsworth, was suspected of the murder at the time. He's now an esteemed television news reporter and returns to the neighbourhood for the first time since Nigel's murder because he wants to finally solve the crime and deliver justice to his old mate.
He meets up with Caroline who he used to date before he came out as gay. Caroline is trapped in an unhappy marriage to Danny's old childhood nemesis and wonders if she can find her way back into Danny's heart. Despite his sexuality she's never stopped loving him.
But Danny's heart has been captured by another and when Caroline finds out who it is she won't be pleased.
But what is the secret Caroline is carrying about Nigel's murder?
And what impact will her husband's business worries have on the investigation Danny starts into finally identifying Nigel's killer?
As the net starts to close in on who really did murder Nigel, Danny finds out something about his own identity that shocks him to the core.
Nigel's killer is closer than Danny ever thought possible.

AUTHOR'S NOTE - This story appeared in my novel 'Murder at Broken Ridge' which I withdrew from sale. I've changed the location of where the story is set but the plot and characters are all the same.
