A Rose for Rose

Farm girl Rose Magee is delighted to spend the day with wheeler-dealer Joseph Thompson when he goes into town to sell the fish he purchased from her father. Joseph is intrigued by the girl who can hook a worm, pull in a fish, and clean it without being the least bit squeamish. When she discovers he has never learned to fish, she gives him a lesson. Sparks fly between them, but Rose's father puts the skids on this budding romance because he doesn't think Joseph knows some of the essentials skills that a man should possess. Joseph will do whatever it takes to win the heart of the most beautiful "Rose" he has ever seen. However, Rose is intrigued by city life and the differences between Joseph and how she grew up. Is it possible for Joseph to prove his "manliness" in order to have Mr. Magee's blessing to court his daughter? Will the flicker of love between Rose and Joseph turn into a flame?
