Space Ark: The Lost Colony

(2024)
A novel by

Humanity once set out to colonize the stars, but an era of warfare brought the age of exploration to an end. Now, with the war over, humanity is set to resume sending out colonies with their superfluous citizens.

And most superfluous of all are the genetically modified soldiers who were created to fight a war that is now over, like Rylock Thrak. Rylock is a war hero, but in the new age of peace that isn’t considered a virtue, and starting a new life on a far flung world to help build a new society is more appealing to him than a life of manual labor on Earth.

As they depart Earth, the passengers of the Ark ship are hopeful of a new life on an idyllic world, but the reality of space colonization is anything but a utopian paradise.

And in this “age of peace”, Rylock may be the only man capable of ensuring the colony’s survival against a harsh and unforgiving galaxy.
