The Frog King

Summoned to California by his employer Sister Bridget O'Toole, P.I. Harry Garnish reluctantly leaves the security of snow-bound Skokie, Illinois for warmer but weirder Los Angeles. Bridget's young friend Kim has left her religious order and is about to marry David, a divorced businessman. But David's teenage daughter and his ex-wife, Carla, have suddenly disappeared and Bridget, still more nun than detective - though she's taken over her ailing father's detective agency - wants Harry to find them.

Harry fears Carla has been murdered, his hard-drinking ways get him arrested. There he befriends, Cado, a member of a local motorcycle gang who is surprisingly well-red. Cado agrees to help Harry and together they ride on Cado's motorbike in search of Carla and her daughter. Can they find them before it's too late?
