A stunning yarn arising from brotherly love and official arrogance
Conflicts of Little Avail is the third in a series of novellas about Roz Benedict and Guy Attwood, and later Kate Sampson, following on from
Compromised and Cut Off. Conflicts of Little Avail can be read alone, as can all the stories in the series.

A surprise gift to Roz from Gordon Dearing, a dying man who claims to have known her mother years ago, proves to have a chequered past. Roz is delighted by the ancient dwelling,
Little Avail, set in woodland near Goosefeering on the North-Norfolk coast in England. Guy, a solicitor-turned-law lecturer, isn't sure she should accept the house which has many legal shortcomings.

But she does take the house and then can't resist investigating the property’s past, although she can't ask Gordon. After the house was transferred to her, Gordon died the same night.

Unfortunately, the fruits of her efforts turn out to be less than beneficial.

Blackmail and bribery ensue and if Roz won't succumb to official threats, her own, Guy's and his children's lives look set to be ruined.
