After a bitter divorce, Troy Kirkwood and his five-year-old daughter, Meika, move in in with his parents, Nola and Ron. Troy is a devoted father and son. While at the movies with his daughter, Troy is unexpectedly called away. He never returns to the movie theater. Nola and Ron know that something is terribly wrong.
