Helen Moss

Helen Moss was born in 1964 and grew up in the beautiful rolling countryside of Worcestershire, interspersed with visits to a remote corner of Saudi Arabia where her father worked. After a degree in Psychology and Philosophy, she went on to study for a PhD in psycholinguistics at the University of Cambridge, and spent many happy years as a research scientist investigating the way the brain processes language and meaning. Helen has lived in London, Glasgow and Oregon, but now lives near Cambridge with her computer-scientist husband, two teenage sons and a menagerie of dogs, hens, gerbils and lizards. When not writing or watching her sons play football, she can be found taking the dogs for long walks, climbing trees, playing badminton and, whenever possible, climbing up or skiing down mountains.
