Henry and his brother, Sam, are in hiding. Ever since Sam discovered the EMP had been detonated by a group that calls themselves the Horsemen, his world has come undone.

Sam spends every available moment scouring computer files in Chicago, always praying to find new information that can help him. But the Horsemen are desperate to find Sam and will do anything to keep that information secret.

It has been a month since the EMP sent the world into chaos, and Leland West is doing what he can to keep his town and family safe from outsiders.

A rival town, desperate for food and medicine, wants what Leland has, and they will do anything to get it.

While trying to defend his town and keep Henry and Sam’s location a secret, Leland discovers an assassin looking for the brothers. He just hopes he’s not too late.
