Marion Ardley, was the Nurse from Newstone, and also the girlfriend of Dr Robert Oldham's fiancee. Unwilling to break up her friend's romance, Marion fled, only to return in mysterious circumstances. Injured in a fire, she seems very changed - but isit Marion? Dr Oldham learns much about the girl he loves, and both he and the nurse from Newstone know anguish and doubt before they each find the one they love.
