One of the classic battles of WWI, involved the Anzacs landing troops up a narrow inlet of the Aegean Sea against well entrenched Turkish forces. While a very brave assault was made up the cliffs, the overall analysis calls it a defeat. THESE 245 pages, by an English poet, describe that part of the Dardanelles Campaign. Complemented by 3 MAPS and 12 b/w photographs.
