'Suspense that never stops' - James Patterson

Who is Claire Gravesend?

The first thing that catches PI Lee Crowe's eye is the Rolls Royce. The second is the body of a beautiful young woman lying dead on the crushed roof. Neither belongs in this neighbourhood.

The woman is Claire Gravesend - the daughter of one of the richest, most powerful women in California. She doesn't believe what the police are saying - that Claire killed herself - and hires Crowe to investigate.

Questions start to pile up as soon as he starts to dig. Strange scars - old marks which her mother won't explain - are found on Claire's body. Then Crowe is brutally attacked whist searching her Boston apartment and barely escapes with his life.

And when he visits Claire's secret pied-a-terre Crowe uncovers the biggest secret of all: sleeping in an upstairs room he finds Claire. Alive.

An enthralling blend of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Michael Crichton and Mickey Spillane - Blood Relations is a perfect pacy read.

Praise for this book

"Classic noir reminiscent of Chandler and Hammett. Grabs you by the throat from the first page and never lets go. Taut, smart and electrifying. Get ready for a long night." - Liv Constantine

"Blood Relations is dark, compelling, and frighteningly plausible. Every twist grabs you hard and pulls you deeper into the mystery. I absolutely could not put this novel down." - Meg Gardiner

"It won’t take you ten pages before you’re hurtling along with private investigator Lee Crowe in this high-speed chase into the lives of the California ultra-rich. Sinister twists, gutsy escapes, and uneasy ethics abound—a must-read for fans of Philip Marlowe." - Maria Hummel

"Suspense that never stops." - James Patterson

"What starts as a dark and pacey detective story morphs into something far more sinister and riveting. Ross MacDonald meets Michael Crichton. A very impressive thriller." - Peter Swanson
