Over a fifty-year career, Julian Mitchell has written novels, plays for stage and television, and films. His best known stage play is Another Country, and his most recent film was Wilde. He has won numerous prizes for writing in various genres. He is also a local historian and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London
