The Bargain

Louella had no intention of marrying Eugene; but that was what shedid. Louella loved Clunes, yet love deluded her. Finally she left Eugene for Clunes, only to find that she had made a terrible mistake. Life was changing for all of them, and too late she realised that in leaving her husband, she jeopardised her whole future. When she discovered that Clunes was worthless, Louella andEugene left London, striking a frail bargain which was to hold them together.
