Luca edges closer to me. "I have trouble liking people, but I have no trouble liking you."
My breath strangles in my throat, since I have no trouble liking him either. That's the problem. I have no trouble at all.
**
Luca Grady - he's a psychopath. Literally. But now Luca is taking experimental medication that has made him sweet ... and attached to me. Very. Like, obsessively. It's actually kind of romantic. Sort of. I mean, if you can overlook that he's a psychopath. I mean, he's also a teen model, so that helps (or hurts), depending on how you look at it. Since, you know, I don't want to fall for him. But when he unexpectedly kisses me - OMG! I'm falling for a psychopath.
This book is told in two parts. (They are both in this book.) The other part of the story is about the main character's best friend, Julie, who is having guy troubles of her own. After a painful - and dramatic - break-up with her boyfriend, somehow she ends up kissing the school "bad-boy" - numerous times. She's starting to think maybe the "bad-boy" isn't so bad after all. Maybe he's even good; and not just a good kisser. Though, holy smokes! He's good at that! But he is also surprisingly tender and sweet. And maybe just what this good-girl needs. (Julie's half of the story was previously titled: Kissing The Bad Boy.)
