SHARING HEARTS
Because of two scheming, vicious females his bride had disappeared on their wedding night, and for eighteen months he had continued to search for her. Guilt-ridden, Natelan had to decide if he should continue to look for her or just stop and seek an annulment. The trouble was he’d feel like a complete failure as a husband and as a man if he gave up. It was just by a stroke of luck his brother had seen her and he didn’t waste a single second bringing her back home. The complete change in her astounded him yet he found himself unable to resist her allure and he wasn’t certain he liked the fact she was no longer the timid, submissive bride he had married. It was when trouble arrived on their doorstep that though she never spoke the words he knew what question she wanted to ask him. The very second he rejected her publicly, he was very aware that he’d already lost her a second time but would he ever have another chance to win her affection?
After so long she thought her husband of only a few hours would have stopped searching for her and that had been her mistake. When she was captured and forced to return all she wanted to do was find a chance to flee. She had been determined to keep her distance from him and his clan but fate continuously intervened with her plans. Without even knowing how it had happened she made friends and was doing her duty as mistress of the clan. What was even more unsettling was the discovery that she had suddenly developed deep feelings for her husband. At first, she had decided to keep them to herself but under the threat of danger, she needed to tell her husband how much she cared for him and if he was willing to share his heart with her. His callous refusal to speak to her was a devastating blow and she was humiliated and hurt. When she recovered with her heart still aching, she didn’t know if she was willing to give him another opportunity or not.
