In a world full of monsters, sometimes the only way to survive is to become one yourself.

As a detective with a nose for trouble and more scars than friends, I've seen my fair share of stuff that'd make the devil puke. But when my brothers-in-arms, Artemis and Pan Demic, got mixed up with a depraved trafficking ring, I knew I had to dig into the cesspool and fish out their sorry asses. Little did I know, I was about to uncover an eldritch conspiracy that'd tear my reality a brand new asshole.

Now I'm drowning in a sea of cultists, corrupted politicians, and a sadistic serial killer in clown makeup who's turning the city into his own personal Circus Maximus of hell. And just to add a little extra "f**k you" to the situation, some MURK is playing pin-the-head-on-the-kiddie all over town.

The stakes? Higher than a junkie on payday. Pan's clinging to life by a thread, Artemis is MIA, and I've gotta navigate a labyrinth of depravity that'd make Hieronymus Bosch shit his breeches. The only thing standing between me and a dirt nap is a freak show of badasses—a foul-mouthed hacker, an ex-angel with a hard-on for buckshot, and a couple of monsters who are the lesser evil by a pubic hair.

We're in a race against some sanity-blasting Lovecraftian nightmares to rescue Artemis before they twist him into something that'd make Cthulhu cream his tentacles. It's a suicide mission, but hey, I've tangoed with the reaper plenty. I'll claw my way through hell's hemorrhoids and shred my soul into confetti if that's what it takes.

In a world this messed up, all you can do is kick the darkness until it bleeds daylight.

Neon Black, book eleven in the twisted shitshow that is the Ethan Drake series, is a high-octane, gore-soaked rampage through a shit-caked urban underbelly that'd make the Devil weep with envy. It's a story about hanging onto your humanity by your broken, bloodied fingernails when every person around you is begging you to just let go and join the monster mash. So strap in, grab your poison of choice, and get ready for a blood-spattered ride to the very edge of madness. Just don't expect to come out clean on the other side.
